Mrs. French was elected in 2005 and currently is the most senior member of the Yale Board of Education. She has brought outstanding insight, perspective and background as a result of her years of experience as an elected official and one who is familiar in serving the community. Dena has served the Board in the capacity as Trustee and currently represents the Yale Board of Education as Secretary.

Dena resides in Greenwood Township with her husband, John, and their five children, two of whom have graduated from Yale Public Schools with honors, while the other three are currently continuing their educational experience within the district. Her family are all very active members of Trinity Missionary Church.

Mrs. French is a graduate of Eastern Michigan University and is a counselor at Port Huron Northern High School. Her background in the educational field provides for insight and perspective in her role as a Board member.
